Update 8/8/09: But is this really going to happen? There doesn't seem to have been a lot of coverage of this, and the law doesn't seem to be clear cut.

All kid's books published before 1985 to go away?
This seems like a crazy crazy law. Based on fears of lead in book pigments, the government is telling booksellers that books published before 1985 are not safe and should be taken off shelves.
