Transformer Owl

This video shows an owl whose natural defensive behaviors lead it to take three different 'forms' by changing its posture and how it holds its wings. I found it both hilarious and mesmerizing.

  1. Neat! The "evil owl" form is camouflage. It looks more like a vertical tree branch or trunk. Our Eastern Screech-Owls do something similar.

  2. Huh, that explanation for the Evil Owl form is simultaneously plausible and less satisfying than visions of Count Owlula.
